Arizona's Premiere Rider's Club
It started as a chilly morning ride with temperatures in the high 40’s as I left the house. I had considered taking my Honda since it’s all wired for heated vest and has heated grips. But it was a short ride to my destination for a change. I elected to take the Harley and forgo all of the electrically heated luxuries. This morning’s breakfast was at the Haymaker Restaurant in Litchfield Park.
A nice sized group of riders assembled at GO AZ Motorcycles in Scottsdale for a promising days’s ride up Mt Lemmon. The route took the group out toward Apache Junction then on down towards Oracle and the Tucson area.
As our club grows and evolves, it’s necessary to modify or change our bylaws. These changes are presented to and voted on by the AZRATPack Board of Directors. The following changes have been made to our bylaws:
Announcing the new schedule for the coming year is always a fun thing for me and this year was made extra special because of the amount of input and effort by the members of our Board of Directors. We are currently working out all the details. Watch the events page for updates! See you on the road!
The time has come to start asking participants in our club to contribute in maintaining the infrastructure of our organization. Though we do seek out sponsors to help pay for targeted aspects of what we do, they do not pay for everything. That burden has fallen on the Board of Directors since forming and on myself previously. For example, GO AZ Motorcycles is currently our Ride Series sponsor and cover all costs related to our rides and ride related awards that we give out at the end of the year, but they do not cover things like the costs related to keeping and maintaining our website.

Those of us brave enough to get out of the house after all the crazy wet stuff fell on Saturday enjoyed great breakfast and conversation at 32 Shea this October.
It’s 7am on a gorgeous Friday morning and I am heading to GO AZ Motorcycles in Peoria AZ to meet up with the AZRATPack to ride the annual Route 66 motorcycle tour, this year called the 6’s Wild Grand Tour. The morning air is crisp and I am eager to get this bike on the road.
Victor Castañeda, President of the AZRATPack this year created a ride to take advantage of the many Route 66 historical and memorable routes in Arizona. This years: Day 1 routing, would take us from Peoria, AZ out US 60 to the Devils Highway, US 666 (renamed AZ 191) eventually arriving at the first nights stay in Holbrook, AZ on Route 66. The second day would take riders through the petrified forest and onward to ShipRock, New Mexico, Four Corners and eventually stopping in Chinle, AZ, Canyon de Chelley.
Today’s breakfast had the potential to be a big mess. If you were following on Facebook, our event had 85 RSVPs as confirmed going and about 1,300 interested. Had close to 100 people shown up to the restaurant at once, they would have been completely over run.
Philippe & Regitze were the only brave ones to endure the hot, humid night late in monsoon season in their Ural sidecar rig while the rest of us opted for air-conditioned boxes.
